This week I am thrilled to welcome Mike Walsh to the show. Mike is the CEO of Tomorrow, a global consultancy on designing companies for the 21st century. A global nomad, futurist, and author of the bestselling book, The Algorithmic Leader, he advises some of the world’s biggest organizations on digital transformation and disruptive innovation in this new era of machine intelligence. Mike is also a prolific writer and commentator, whose views have appeared in a wide range of international publications including the Harvard Business Review, Inc. Magazine, BusinessWeek, Forbes, and The Wall Street Journal.

It’s an understatement to say the recent COVID-19 crisis created all kinds of chaos. There’s a gap in our understanding of the relationship between digital business models – which are pervasive – and the quasi- and fully-automated algorithmic-based solutions available to business problem-solvers. The challenge was recently described in a recent Harvard Business Review article by Mike Walsh with the timely title, “Why Business Leaders Need to Understand Their Algorithms.”
